2013 NFL mock draft: Mel Kiper says OT for Cardinals, Todd McShay says no

A final look at the projections by the ESPN experts

USA TODAY Sports

The NFL Draft is just a single day away, so that means we need one final set of projections from the ESPN draft guys, Mel Kiper and Todd McShay. So here they are, at least in terms of the Arizona Cardinals.

Kiper's final projection looks familiar with a lot of early mock drafts. Kiper says that the Cardinals will draft tackle Eric Fisher with the seventh overall pick. He does, though, ask an important question.

Does he get past Detroit? That's a question I'll ask a lot of folks this week.

I think every single Cardinals fan would be thrilled if this were to happen.

What about McShay?

He projects that tackles Luke Joeckel, Eric Fisher and Lane Johnson will all be unavailable by pick number five, much less number seven.

With no tackle available, but also with the inevitable result of a talented pass rusher falling, Dion Jordan is the projected pick for Arizona, which would be another player that most Cards fans would be thrilled to get.

On the other hand, when I was asked to play GM for the Cards, I had Lane Johnson available, but chose Ezekiel Ansah over him because of his disruptive upside.

Here's the minivideo:
