Ready for more draft grades for the Arizona Cardinals? This time it is from SI.com, by Chris Burke. He, too, likes what the Arizona Cardinals did with their nine selections in last week's NFL Draft.
He gives the Cardinals a B+ for their work.
The headliner here is CB Tyrann Mathieu, but it's actually what Arizona did elsewhere that made this a very solid draft. G Jonathan Cooper (and later Earl Watford) will improve an awful O-line, while LB Kevin Minter was a solid add in Round 2 and DE/OLB Alex Okafor a steal in Round 4. Don't sleep on the Stepfan Taylor-Andre Ellington duo at RB.
Burke clearly likes the selections. He mentions six of the nine players the Cardinals drafted.
He does not, though, mention receiver Ryan Swope, who some believe is an even bigger steal than Okafor.
I wouldn't necessarily call Mathieu the headliner, even if he is the biggest name. I still think that is Cooper, but Mathieu certainly could make this draft special.
