The one thing that was the most troubling about the 24-7 loss the Arizona Cardinals suffered on Saturday night was the amount of injuries that were sustained. Rookie guard Jonathan Cooper broke his leg. Rashard Mendenhall sprained his knee. There were a few ankle injuries.
However, it turns out that things are not as bad as they seemed.
Per the team's official website, the group that included Dan Williams, Rashard Mendenhall, D.C. Jefferson, Matt Shaughnessy and Andre Roberts are either fine or day to day.
Mendenhall has a slight knee sprain and should be good to go for the season opener.
Tight end Rob Housler is the big concern. He suffered a high ankle sprain, so that could keep him on the shelf for several weeks. He is, though, trying to make it in time for the opener against the Rams.
Jeff King practiced on Monday, but safety Rashad Johnson did not, as he has a knee injury.
