Reggie Bush injury: Lions running back takes helmet to the knee

The Lions starting back leaves game with injured knee.

The Detroit Lions' starting running back Reggie Bush suffered a knee injury in the second quarter of their road opener against the Arizona Cardinals.

On a pass play in which Bush ran right by Yeremiah Bell and made a 26-yard reception for a first down, he was hit in the knee with safety Tony Jefferson's helmet.

He left the field under his own power and tried to walk off the pain on the sideline, and It was announced that he is questionable to return for the game. He returned for the team's final possession in the first half.

In the first half, Bush has carried the ball seven times for 18 yards and has caught three passes for 44 yards.

Running back Joique Bell replaced him in the lineup temporarily.
