Another day of practice and a new injury report is out. Once again, wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald was out of practice, as was running back Rashard Mendenhall. Rookie linebacker Kevin Minter also sat out of practice.
The rest of the injury report got smaller, though. Lorenzo Alexander fully participated with his biceps injury and Rob Housler was limited with his ankle. That was it.
Fitzgerald's hamstring was the subject of questions from the media, as Thursday is the day when Fitz takes questions from the media. The way he talks, expect to see him on the field on Sunday against the Saints. When told that there is a school of thought that would have him sit out the game to rest the game, he answered, "I haven't been to that school." I guess we can assume that if he feels he can make any contribution, he will be on the field. Rightfully so. Just having Fitz on the field is better for the team than not having him there.
Mendenhall's injury (a toe injury) is a bit more mysterious. The media could not ask about it after the first injury report came out on Wednesday because they spoke to the players before practice. On Thursday, Mendenhall politely declined to answer questions. Bruce Arians does not speak to the press on Thursdays, as he has his coordinators do so. Since it is a toe injury that has kept him from practicing, one would think that it is turf toe, something we have seen keep players like Beanie Wells and Kevin Kolb out for multiple weeks. The possibility of Mendenhall playing seems slim.
Minter's injury we already know will likely keep him out of the game on Sunday.
As for the Saints, here is how their injury report looks (the have a lot on injured players):
