NFL roster moves: Arizona Cardinals sign 2 linebackers

The roster is once again full.

Scott Boehm

With Sam Acho and Lorenzo Alexander being placed on season-ending injured reserve, and Dontay Moch being promoted to the active roster, the Arizona Cardinals had an open spot on the 53-man roster and one on the practice squad. They filled those spots on Tuesday.

They signed linebacker Vic So'oto to the main roster and linebacker Bruce Taylor to the practice squad.

So'oto (6-3, 263) spent the preseason with the Washington Redskins until he was released in the team's final roster cut on August 31. He has played in 12 career games and has seven tackles and one sack after entering the league as an undrafted rookie free agent with Green Bay in 2011 out of BYU. Last season So'oto played with the Redskins, Raiders and Packers. He played in one game with Oakland and four games with Green Bay before signing with Washington on December 18 where he was inactive for two games and the Redskins playoff contest.

Taylor (6-1, 245) comes to Arizona after spending the preseason with the Cincinnati Bengals where he signed as an undrafted rookie free agent out of Virginia Tech. He played in 40 career games (33 starts) at Virginia Tech and had 226 tackles, 16.5 sacks, 33.5 tackles for loss and 41 quarterback pressures. He was an honorable mention All-ACC selection as a junior and senior.
