NFL picks against the spread: 49ers to bounce back in St. Louis

Can the Niners bounce back from two tough losses?

Dilip Vishwanat

Thursday Night Football returns again, this time with an NFC West matchup, one that has more intrigue that you thought would have.

The San Francisco 49ers visit the St. Louis Rams, both at 1-2. Last season, the Niners did not beat the Rams. The Rams also had a very strong showing in 2012 on TNF, defeating the then 4-0 Arizona Cardinals and sacking Kevin Kolb nine times.

San Francisco enters the game as three-point favorites, and it typically wise to go with the home team, however considering the situation, you can't feel comfortable picking the Niners to fall again.

San Francisco is just too good to fall a third straight game and, despite how good the St. Louis pass rush is, you have to expect Colin Kaepernick to bounce back.

Which way to go? Hit San Fran hard and go with the over (currently 44 points). This is going to be a Niners revenge game. Pick: Niners, -3.0.
