Week 3 was an average week, as I finished 8-7-1 against the spread, bringing my overall record to 26-20-2.
Ravens (-3) at Bills: Buffalo continues to be unremarkable, while the Ravens have come alive a bit. I expect Baltimore to continue to roll. Pick: Ravens, -3.
Bengals (-4) at Browns: The Browns, after trading their one good player in Trent Richardson, shocked the league with a win with Brian Hoyer at quarterback. Lightning won't strike twice. Bengals will win by 10. Pick: Bengals, -4.
Bears at Lions (-3): Detroit is getting a standard home-field spread. They will be amped up to send the rival Bears home with their first loss. I like the Lions straight up here.
Giants at Chiefs (-4): New York was embarrassed last week, getting shut out by the Panthers. However, this will not be the week to recover. The unbeaten Chiefs have a legit defense and have a great home-field advantage. Alex Smith won't be the reason they lose. New York falls to 0-4 and the Chiefs roll to 4-0. Pick: Chiefs, -40
Steelers (-3) at Vikings: Minnesota will send Matt Cassel to start. Pittsburgh is still looking for its first win. The problem is that they aren't that good. Pick: Vikings, +3.
Cardinals at Buccaneers (-2.5): Two good defenses face off against struggling offenses. While Arizona doesn't play well on the road, they will get turnovers from Mike Glennon's debut. Pick: Cards, +2.5.
Colts (-8) at Jaguars: Need we even say why? Pick: Colts, -8.
Seahawks (-2.5) at Texans: While Houston is fortunate to have the record they have and Seattle is undefeated, this is the week the offensive line woes they have show up. The Texans will get to Russell Wilson and knock off the Hawks. Pick: Texans, +2.5.
Jets at Titans (-3.5): This is the game of QBs you just don't trust. Don't bet this game. It's a terrible one. It will, though, go down to the wire as the Jets' defense has been good again. Pick: Jets, +3.5.
Eagles at Broncos (-10.5): Peyton Manning is great. Philly's defense is terrible. What does this mean? It will be a long, long game for Chip Kelly. Don't fear this spread. The Broncos will roll.
Redskins (-3) at Raiders: The Skins are coming around. Oakland is terrible. Pick: Redskins, -3.
Cowboys (-2) at Chargers: San Diego is better than their 1-2 record, but Dallas is where I'll put my money.
Patriots at Falcons (-2): The 3-0 Pats finally see their warts be made known. While the Atlanta pass defense is suspect, I like the home team here to cover.
