2013 fantasy football, Cardinals vs. Rams: Who to Bench, Who to Start

Sunday is just around the corner, and we all need to set up our Fantasy Lineups.

Finally, it's kickoff and it's time for our ever important Saturday night ritual of sitting in front of the computer, and deciding who is the best fit to start Sunday. Do not fear, your Cardinals fantasy guru, is here. So without further ado, let us take a look at who you should start, and who you should bench.

Start:

Michael Floyd: If you drafted any of the Cardinals receivers this season, it's best to start them. None of their games will be match up based and they now have a quarterback who can throw the ball with precision. Floyd is a particularly interesting prospect to start, mainly because he has such a good connection with Palmer thus far into their short time together.

Larry Fitzgerald: Need I say more? Same thing as stated with Floyd, but he'll likely be Palmer's go to guy when Fitzgerald is needed.

Calais Campbell (IDP): He's listed as questionable, but as has been stated by multiple media outlets, he appears to be on the good side of questionable. He's always a candidate to start if you have him.

*Sleeper* Rashard Mendenhall: This a selection you will want to make with caution... Mendenhall has all the ability to be a good back in this system, and in the desert, but his knee concerns could very well make a few Cardinal fans question his ability to lead them to a Fantasy Championship. Start him if you need a back, or if you have really good backs in other slots.

Bench:

Rob Housler: Obvious. He has not practiced at all this week, and it's already been said he'll be sitting on the bench to open the season. If you REALLY REALLY, need to find a replacement, Julius Thomas is available in 93.3% of all Fantasy leagues, but he's a guy for Week 2. Week 1 I would recommend selecting Scott Chandler, or Jim Dray.

Cardinals Defense: Too many questions surrounding the unit. If you carry them as your only DEF on your roster, start them, but do not expect the same fantasy like numbers from last year.

This is your Week 1 Bench/Sit. Best of luck to all of you this weekend, unless you're playing me of course.
