Remember when we saw that Carson Palmer has some of his best career numbers against the San Diego Chargers?
That isn't the case against the Denver Broncos.
While Palmer had his second highest passer rating against San Diego, his numbers aren't great against the team he will face this Sunday (if he plays).
Palmer has faced the Broncos six times in his career, going 1-5. He has completed 111 of 193 pass attempts (around 57 percent completed) for 1461 yards. He has thrown eight touchdowns and has been picked off nine times. His passer rating is a paltry 75.9.
Of course, it is possible Palmer can't play because of the nerve issue in his shoulder. That would mean Drew Stanton would start.
Stanton has never played in a game against Denver.
Broncos QB Peyton MAnning has faced the Cardinals twice in his career. In two starts, he is 2-0. In 2005, he played just a few snaps in a Week 17 game. Indianapolis won that game without him.
Then, in 2009, Manning shredded the Cardinals defense.
In his two games against the Cardinals, Manning completed 25/37 passes (67.8 percent) for 384 yards, four scores and one interception. His passer rating is 126.4 and his yards per attempt is an insane 10.4.
