With the Arizona Cardinals getting another win on Sunday, this time a 24-20 victory over the Philadelphia Eagles, you can imagine the tone of the latest Revenge of the Birds Radio show was more positive.
It was.
Seth and I still talked about some concerns on the show, though.
We discuss the offense through seven games. We wonder -- can the Cardinals continue to play uneven offensively yet be effective enough to win?
We discuss receiver Michael Floyd and his disappearance in the game. Should we worry or not?
Who was the player of the game offensively? I pick John Brown. Seth goes with Jared Veldheer.
Near the end of the show, I bring up the offense again, as I equate the season they are having with the season Andre Ellington is having.
The show then turns toward the defense.
With all the bending but not breaking the defense has been doing, should we be concerned heading into Dallas? We both think so, provided Tony Romo is healthy. He has the potential to do what Peyton Manning did. We talk more of the front seven and the secondary -- the secondary is playing so well!
But in the end, the feel of the show is different. We now are talking about the postseason and seeding and possible first round byes. At 6-1, the team has to make the playoffs. Anything less would be a major falling apart.
