The QB could soon be back on the field.

Robert Deutsch-USA TODAY Sports

For those fans wanting quarterback Carson Palmer back on the field and starting for the Arizona Cardinals, there appears to be a reason to get excited. According to Fox Sports' Jay Glazer, Palmer should be back on the field next week when the Cardinals play the Washington Redskins or the following week against the Oakland Raiders.

Tweeted Glazer:

Carson Palmer flew to Denver on Fri,worked w nerve specialist last 2 days & FINALLY think got nerve to release. Optimistic now if no setbacks chance he can play next week or following week the latest.

Palmer actually was able to throw a bit in Denver and, according to the game broadcast, will stay in Denver an additional day to get more treatment.

Palmer has missed three games with his nerve issue, suffered against the San Diego Chargers in Week 1. Stanton has led the team to two wins and hopes to add a third in Denver today.
