Arizona Cardinals make practice squad moves, cut RB Zach Bauman

The team makes a move now that Stepfan Taylor is back in practice.

The Arizona Cardinals made a pair of practice squad moves on Wednesday. The team announced it released running back Zach Bauman and signed cornerback Darren Woodard.

Bauman was signed to the practice squad two weeks ago when Stepfan Taylor was unable to practice after suffering a calf injury and was unable to practice.

Taylor is back at practice again, giving the team five healthy running backs. Bauman was no longer needed.

Woodard (5-11, 175) spent training camp and preseason with the Rams this year before being released on August 30 as part of final roster cuts. He originally entered the NFL as a rookie free agent with St. Louis in 2013 and spent most of last season on the Rams practice squad. Woodard played collegiately at UTEP and as a senior in 2012, he played in all 12 games and had 44 tackles and two interceptions.

Here is the current makeup of the practice squad.
