Tuesday meant podcast night. Seth Cox and I recorded a new Revenge of the Birds Radio show to talk about the win the Arizona Cardinals had on Sunday over the Detroit Lions.
We really tried to get the show under an hour, but just couldn't...one of these days, I guess.
We opened the show discussing the end of Troy Niklas' season and how the second round has been very unkind to the Cardinals. From Ryan Williams to no pick to Kevin Minter to Niklas, Arizona just hasn't gotten production from a second round pick in quite some time.
From there, Seth and I talked about the game on Sunday.
Namely, the topics discussed were:
1. the play of Drew Stanton
2. the running game
3. the play of the offensive line
4. the defensive performance
After that, we discussed just how good the Cardinals are, even with Drew Stanton. Who can't the defense stop? Can they beat Aaron Rodgers or Tom Brady or Peyton Manning?
To end the show, we talked about this week's game in Seattle. Arizona has a chance to choke out the Seahawks and all but wrap up the NFC West title.
