According to Field Yates of ESPN.com, the Cardinals were joined by the Indianapolis Colts and Minnesota Vikings in their waiver request for the former Cleveland Brown. Unfortunately for the Cardinals, the Vikings were the ones who came away with the 5th-year back, as they have a worse record than the Cardinals.
It was a long shot for the Cardinals to come away with anyone off of waivers, as they currently hold the best record in the entire league (no complaints from me here). However, many people have commented on the woes of the run game this season, as Andre Ellington has been unable to recreate his successes from last year. Whether this is due to his injuries or the offensive line's run blocking abilities, the team obviously feels like there is a problem, and tried to solve it with Tate.
What do you think about the attempt at Ben Tate? Is there anyone else you think the Cardinals will take a look at?
