It is Thanksgiving. There is turkey and football. But Vegas is still taking money for picks against the spread. Since the NFL and gambling go together, here's how I would wager if I were to do so.
Bears vs. Lions (-7): The Bears are having a terrible year. The Lions have had a great year, but are coming off two straight losses. Their defense is legit and Chicago's offense stinks right now. Plus, they are giving up enough on defense that Detroit should easily win by a touchdown or more. I'll give up the points and take the Lions -7.
Eagles at Cowboys (-3): This game is truly a crapshoot, but I like the home team. Dallas is protecting Tony Romo very well. They are running the ball well. But the Eagles are putting up points. This will be a barnburner. Take the over, but i terms of the spread, it come down to who do you like more -- Tony Romo at home or Mark Sanchez on the road. I like Romo over Sanchez, easily. Cowboys -3.
Seahawks vs 49ers (-1): I truly don't know how to look at this game. Seattle looked very good against the Cardinals, but played a super physical game in their win and are now on the road. San Fran has struggled, but are playing at home against a team they despise. Seattle is 6-0 ATS in their last six games against the Niners, but the short week I think does them in. Niners -1.
