Thanksgiving football live blog, reactions and staff picks

Happy Thanksgiving! It is time for food, family and football.

Today there are three very good football games -- all division matchups. All of them have some importance for the Arizona Cardinals.

The days starts with the Lions and the Bears in Detroit on CBS at 12:30 PM Eastern (10:30 AZ time). As Cardinals fans, we want Detroit to win and keep up with the Packers. Detroit currently holds a tiebreaker over Green Bay and the Cards have one over the Lions.

Then, at 4:30 Eastern (2:30 Arizona time), The Philadelphia Eagles take on the Dallas Cowboys in Big D. Arizona has a tiebreaker over both teams, so it doesn't really matter who wins. In any case, the game should be fantastic with a ton of points scored. Guess what, Tony Romo still has time in the pocket to throw against the Giants.

The nightcap is a big NFC West game. The 49ers and Seahawks play on NBC in San Francisco...er...Santa Clara. If it were possible for both teams to lose, we would take that. Since the Seahawks just beat Arizona, we need to be reluctant Niners fans. We don't need Seattle picking up steam and momentum.

In terms of picks, this is how our staff is going:

Jess Root Jesse Reynolds Jason Mulkey Michael Oliver Seth Cox Alex Mann Skii Delilah Cassidy
CHI/DET DET DET DET DET DET DET DET CHI
PHI/DAL DAL DAL DAL DAL DAL DAL DAL DAL
SEA/SF SF SF SF SF SF SF SF SF

Uh, oh. They are unanimous as of right now, which means one of the teams will disappoint.

This will be your open thread for all three games, so enjoy and chat. Since it is an open thread, language restrictions are removed, but please remember this is the only thread today where that is the case.
