The Arizona Cardinals and Atlanta Falcons will both be without their veteran star receivers. Both Larry Fitzgerald for Arizona and Roddy White for Atlanta will be inactive for today's contest.
Arizona's list includes Fitz, RB Michael Bush, LB Desmond Bishop, LB Kenny Demens, DT Alameda Ta'amu, DT Ed Stinson and TE Matthew Mulligan.
With no Fitz, it again means more Jaron Brown, who had an okay game in Seattle. He caught three passes for 24 yards, but dropped a touchdown pass.
Bush was signed on Tuesday and some hoped he might get some looks this week. Arians and Bush both downplayed that thought, so it will be Stepfan Taylor again as the backup behind Andre Ellington.
Josh Mauro is again active and should get playing time in place of the injured Stinson. Demens is out with a hamstring injury. It is undrafted rookie Glenn Carson who gets to be active in his place. Carson will likely take Demens' spot on special teams.
For Atlanta, they will sit White, who missed last year's game as well, CB Robert Alford, LB James Anderson, QB Sean Renfree, T Jonathan Scott, DT Paul Soliai and OLB Tyler Starr.
Harry Douglas will get more looks in place of White. Soliai and Alford are both starters on defense.
