Cardinals vs. Rams injury report: Bobby Massie, Lorenzo Alexander return to practice

Only two players sit out.

Starting right tackle Bobby Massie sat out practice on Wednesday, and it was believed to not be anything serious and he would be back on the practice field on Thursday. That turned out to be true, as Massie practiced.

The Arizona Cardinals and St. Louis Rams released their injury reports and both teams got players back in practice.

For the Cardinals, both Massie and linebacker/special teams captan Lorenzo Alexander, who also sat out of practice on Wednesday, were upgraded to limited. That was also the case with linebacker Marcus Benard, who was ill on Wednesday.

Running back Stepfan Taylor continues to be on the shelf with his calf injury. He did not practice and veteran linebacker Desmond Bishop was added to the injury report, sitting out with a hamstring issue.

Larry Foote, who is listed with a back injury, fully participated in practice on Thursday. Running back Andre Ellington, managing a season-long foot issue, was limited.

For the Rams, they had several players return to the practice field. After seven players were listed as DNP, only two sat out on Thursday -- cornerback Janoris Jenkins (knee) and cornerback Marcus Roberson (ankle).

Cornerback E.J. Gaines (knee), safety Rodney McLeod (knee), defensive end William Hayes (fibula) and linebacker Jo-Lunn Barr (toe) all went from not practicing to doing so fully.

Linebacker Daren Bates (groin), safety Cody Davis (concussion) and tight end Cory Harkey (knee) were limited.
