You could say the 12-6 win the Arizona Cardinals had on Thursday Night Football was ugly. It wasn't pretty, but there were many plays that impacted the game. Which was the biggest play of the game?
Here are some candidates. Be sure to vote in the poll.
Frostee Rucker's first quarter forced fumble
St. Louis had a 3-0 lead and had the ball deep in their territory. Rucker knocked the ball out of the hands of Tre Mason and Larry Foote recovered it, giving the offense the ball in scoring position. They didn't score the touchdown, but it got the Cardinals points on the board, snapping the shutout streak the Rams had going for them.
49-yard pass from Drew Stanton to Michael Floyd
It was the biggest play in terms of yards for either team. It didn't score points, but on the first play of the Cardinals next drive after they tied the score, they went for one of their "bullets" and came up big. The offense would get 10 more yards before Chandler Catanzaro came on to give the Cardinals the lead for good with his 44-yard field goal.
Stepfan Taylor fourth quarter 21-yard scamper
With Ryan Lindley in the game, Arizona needed something on the ground. They got it from Taylor, who on second and nine ran 21 yards to the Rams' 33-yard line, getting Arizona in scoring position for the last time. Chandler Catanzaro hit from 46 yards to make it a two-score game at 12-3.
Catanzaro's fourth field goal
Three plays after Taylor's run, Catanzaro gave the Cards a nine-point lead, which all but put the game on ice. While it was not a sure thing, the way the game had thus far gone, nine points seemed impossible to come back from. St. Louis pulled within six, but that was it.
Jerraud Powers' fourth down batted pass
It was the "winning play." The Rams, down 12-6 with 2:52 to go, Shaun Hill got them into Cardinals territory. On fourth and three and the game in the balance, Shaun Hill dropped back to pass and Powers come on the blitz. As Hill tried to get the ball off, Powers batted the pass down to get the turnover on downs.
