Seattle Seahawks injuries: LT Russell Okung to miss 'a week or so' with bruised lung

Arizona's defense will face a backup.

The Arizona Cardinals are not the only team with key players injured. Their next opponent, the Seattle Seahawks. will be without a very important player on their offense -- left tackle Russell Okung.

Okung left the game on Sunday against the San Francisco 49ers with a bruised lung and spit up blood.

Head coach Pete Carroll, while giving his weekly radio interview, said Okung would miss "a week or so" before being able to get back on the field.

That means the Seahawks will play the Arizona defense -- a defense that sacked quarterback Russell Wilson seven times in their game in Seattle -- without their starting left tackle.

Alvin Bailey would start in place of Okung.

According to Pro Football Focus, Bailey has not given up a sack while playing left tackle this season. He started one game in place of Okung in Week 9. He played four snaps at left tackle in Week 3 and 32 last weekend. He has given up five hurries at the position.

It was Bailey who started at left guard in place of James Carpenter when the Cardinals played in Seattle. Calais Campbell abused him, although he was only credited for giving up one sack and one hurry.

The first official injury report will not come out until Wednesday. We will see if he is even able to practice at all.
