Steve Keim has Arizona Cardinals on right track

We answer a Marshall Faulk question.

Matt Kartozian-USA TODAY Sports

Marshall Faulk's question for this week is about our team's general manager.

At the end of the day, every GM has the same goal: win a championship. But when you're Professional Grade, it takes vision to build a path toward that goal. Look back at all the moves your front office made this year, and give them a grade. Is your team on the right path?

Well, how can you not like what Arizona Cardinals general manager Steve Keim has done? Since January 2, the Cardinals have made 217 transactions.

Is the team on the right path? The proof has been in the pudding all year. Arizona is 11-3 despite losing Carson Palmer for the season and despite a number of key injuries.

Head coach Bruce Arians sings praises of the work of Keim and his staff.

"If Steve doesn't get executive of the year it's stolen from him because we wouldn't be here without the (scouting) group," coach Bruce Arians said Wednesday. "We're still making moves this week. It just proves the eye for talent that Steve has."

Whether it is drafting Andre Ellington, adding Kerwynn Williams to the practice squad, signing Tony Jefferson, Jaron Brown or Chandler Catanzaro as undrafted rookies, or signing free agents like John Abraham, Karlos Dansby, Larry Foote or Antonio Cromartie, Keim has had success after success.

Keim is Professional Grade.
