It is time. Carrie Underwood will sing. Al Michaels will talk. Cris Collinsworth will, too. Most importantly, the Arizona Cardinals will try to clinch the NFC West title and top seed in the NFC for the postseason, taking on the defending champion Seattle Seahawks.
We know the story. Arizona is sending out Ryan Lindley to start at quarterback. He is the third different player to start at QB this season and the fourth to play for Arizona, who has still managed to make it to 11-3. They have a playoff spot clinched.
Now, can the Cardinals overcome yet another QB injury and defeat the defending champs, who are playing as good as they have this season?
The Seahawks are favored by 7.5. No one is really giving Arizona any chance. People I know consider Ryan Lindley to be the absolute worst QB on earth and would prefer the Cardinals have signed any QB with even one good arm to play in Lindley's stead.
But they have overcome so many odds.
The roof will be closed in University of Phoenix Stadium. The players will wear red on red. The field has new sod. The fans were out in force early and it they look rowdy.
