2014 NFL Combine: HIghlights from Bruce Arians press conference

Quick hits from his time at the podium for the media in Indianapolis.

After Arizona Cardinals general manager Stave Keim talked with the media on Thursday, Friday was when head coach Bruce Arians spoke.

Here are some of the main things that he said.

Regarding quarterback Carson Palmer, Arians said that he believes that his starting quarterback "could play until 36, 37 easily." It will be interesting to see how this affects the drafting strategy over the next year or two if Palmer continues to play well.

He talked about moving Larry Fitzgerald around to different positions. He said 30 years old is kind of the magic number when it becomes necessary.

He was asked about running back Ryan Williams. Arians said "he has a chance this year." He cited his missing almost all the preseason as the reason why he didn't play during the season. He also said that "he could be gone" if door number two has something better.

He was asked about whether Johnny Manziel could fit in the Cardinals offense. Arians made it clear with a "there is no doubt."

He elaborated on his player preference at the tight end position. Contrary to what you may have believed, he wants a guy that can block first.

Arians said that the offensive line needs "to get bigger and stronger." He did mention Earl Watford as a guy that could be in the lineup, at least indirectly.

To end, he compared Drew Stanton to Kelly Holcomb, whatever that could mean.
