The Arizona Cardinals were not expected to pick up any compensatory draft picks because of their work in free agency last offseason. That held true to form.
The league announced compensatory picks and the Arizona Cardinals get zero.
They signed a slew of unrestricted free agents last offseason and lost very few.
The Baltimore Ravens and New York Jets will each receive four picks. The Houston Texans, Dallas Cowboys, Atlanta Falcons, Pittsburgh Steelers and St. Louis Rams each received three compensatory picks. The Cincinnati Bengals, Green Bay Packers and Detroit Lions got two apiece, while the New England Patriots, San Francisco 49ers and the New York Giants were give one each.
The Cardinals will have six picks in the draft in May, provided there are no trades for or of any of their picks. They have the 20th pick in each of the first six rounds. They do not have a seventh round pick because it was traded to the Oakland Raiders to acquire Carson Palmer. The condition was that if Palmer started at least 13 games, Oakland would get the pick. He started all 16 games and played all but a few snaps on offense (the only ones he did not play was when the offense went with a Wildcat formation and a direct snap went to a skill player.)
According to Mike Jurecki, these are the rounds and pick number for each round, adjusted for the compensatory picks.
