2014 NFL Draft grades: What marks do the Arizona Cardinals get for Day 2?

Do you like what they did on Friday?

Jamie Rhodes-US PRESSWIRE

On Friday, the Arizona Cardinals made three selections in the NFL Draft -- one in the second round and two in the third round.

In the second round, they took tight end Troy Niklas, He was the fourth tight end taken and was projected to be taken in the second round. He is expected to be a Day 1 starter on offense.

In the third round, they got defensive end Kareem Martin out of North Carolina. he was projected to go somewhere in the second or third round. That's where the Cardinals got him. The team plans on using him at outside linebacker in base packages and both at OLB and defensive end in sub packages.

They also selected speedy receiver John Brown out of Pittsburg State. His selection was a surprise, but he was highly coveted by Bruce Arians because of his speed. He was not expected to get drafted until Day 3.

If you had to give Arizona a grade for Day 2, what would it be? Some might say that they reached for NIklas and certainly for Brown. Martin is seen by many as a good value. At a glance, I would give them a C. They filled needs and did not really reach until Brown, but he could provide good value. In all, an okay Day 2.

Were there players you feel the Cardinals should have targeted? Who should have been their picks?
