With their final (assigned) pick in the 2014 NFL Draft, the Cards selected Murray State WR Walter Powell.

Opting not to trade down, the Cardinals with their final selection in the 2014 NFL Draft, 196th overall, they selected Walter Powell, WR, Murray State.

Powell wasn't on the radar of many media outlets, projected to be a late round pick to priority free agent coming into the draft. Standing at 5'11", 190 lbs, Powell is an adequately sized receiver with no stand-out athletic traits. He has a thin build and doesn't have the best hands, just has value on special teams as a return man.

He'll compete for a roster spot with the likes of Jaron Brown, Brittan Golden and Teddy Williams as the fifth wide receiver on the team. He is an elusive receiver, makes people miss.

That was the final pick the Cardinals had in the 2014 NFL Draft, assuming they don't trade back into the draft later on. They forwent adding an offensive lineman to compete on the right side, and passed up the chance to draft some depth at cornerback. Look for these positions to be targeted with their priority free agent additions.
