It's been a long and winding road, but finally the insanity stops, and the reality will set in.
What may the Cardinals do on draft day?
Here's my final guess of what may come, with brief commentary, because my post draft commentary will be much, much too long.
Round 1- Blake Bortles, QB Central Florida
There are two things I have been told about in the last week:
1. The Cardinals promised Ryan Lindley they won't draft a quarterback early.
2. The Cardinals "WILL NOT" pass on Blake Bortles if he is available at 20.
There's the options... so someone is lying, I am actually rooting that we find out, and Bortles is on the board at 20 and we see if the Cardinals vision is long term, or short term.
Round 2- Demarcus Lawrence, OLB Boise State
Maybe the Cardinals add a linebacker in round one, maybe they need to find one in round two, but they get an intriguing pass rushing prospect in Lawrence.
Round 3- CJ Fiedorowicz, TE Iowa
Getting someone that can be the inline tight end the Cardinals covet would be a huge boost for the team.
Round 4- Ahmad Dixon, S Baylor
Look at the Cardinals defense and you see a missing link, that link could be Dixon.
He has the ability to play in the box, similarly to the way Yeremiah Bell was used, and be the intimidating presence in the middle they lack.
Round 5- George Uko, DT USC
The Cardinals continue to build along the defense with Uko, who is a big, long, athletic defensive tackle who could move out to the defensive end spot.
Round 6- John Brown, WR Pittsburgh State
The speed and size that Arians has shown to love in wide receivers.
