The second round of the NFL Draft was busy with trades, but the Arizona Cardinals stood pat after seeing a number of talented player go ff the board. With their second round pick, the selected Notre Dame tight end Troy Niklas.
Niklas is a huge target. At 6-7 and 270 pounds, he can catch and can block. He is the type of tight end that head coach Bruce Arians has said he wanted.
Niklas began his Notre Dame career on the defensive side of the ball, but then converted to tight end.
In 2013, Niklas caught 32 passes for 498 yards and five touchdowns.
