91 days until Arizona Cardinals kickoff: Who has worn No. 91?

91 Cardinals jerseys on the wall...

We are now 91 days away from the Week 1 Monday Night football game that will begin the Arizona Cardinals season.

We will take a look at jersey number 91 and who has worn that number over the years.

Currently, it is worn by Matt Shaughnessy, who became a key player in the team's number one rush defense. He was a free agent, but came back on a two-year deal. He is slated as the starter right now at outside linebacker, but we will see how that goes. He figures to be a base package player because of his ability to play against the run.

Previous to last season, it was Vonnie Holliday who had it for two seasons -- 2011 and 2012. He was acquired during 2011 training camp as part of the trade that sent running back Tim Hightower to the Redskins. He was a great influence in the locker room and a solid depth guy on the defensive line.

From 2008-2010, Kenny Iwebema wore it. He was a fourth round pick in 2008. He was a solid special teams contributor. He even picked up a pair of sacks in 2009.

Rodney Bailey wore it in 2007. He had played four of his five previous seasons with the Steelers and was part of the "Steelers West" movement when Ken Whisenhunt was hired as the head coach here. He was a depth guy. Playing in 16 games, he had 14 tackles.

Langston Moore wore 91 in 2005 and 2006. Moore was a 2004 sixth round pick  of the Bengals. After the Bengals cut him, the Cards claimed him off waivers. He played eight games, starting one and had a sack and nine tackles. He ended the season on injured reserve, but returned in 2006. He was cut during the season after playing three games and logging two tackles.

Wendell Bryant donned No. 91 from 2002-2004, known as one of the team's big first round busts. He was the 12th overall pick in 2002 and between a lengthy holdout and injuries, never panned out. He only logged 1.5 sacks in his career -- all came in his rookie campaign. In three seasons, he played 29 games and had 39 tackles.

Prior to Bryant, Rashod Swinger wore 91 from 1997-1999. He went undrafted and after being on the Chargers practice squad, joined Arizona. He played one game in 1997, but got a lot of time in 1998, starting 11 games in the 1998 playoff run. He was rewarded with a two-year contract entering the 1999 season, started 14 of the 15 games he played that season and had a sack and 70 tackles. He never played again, as he was injured in 2000 and was on the PUP list. He never played in the NFL again.

The first to wear 91 dates back to St. Louis in 1986. It was worn by Ron Monaco that year, who played 15 games, starting two.

Lots of unremarkable players. Who is best? It probably is Shaugnessy. Any memories of anyof these other guys?
