2014 NFL countdown: 20 days left and a look at the Cardinals history of No. 20

Another day and another number.

Bruce Kluckhohn-USA TODAY Sports

Today we focus on No. 20. There are 20 days left until the Arizona Cardinals start the regular season.

It has been a number of no real consequence.

No. 20 now belongs to running back Jonathan Dwyer, who joined the team in the offseason as a free agent. It appears he might be Andre Ellington's main backup and the team's primary goalline back.

Last season it was worn by cornerback Antoine Cason, who signed with the team to a one-year deal. He didn't play a lot until the end of the season and was not re-signed.

In 2010 and 2011, it belonged to undrafted cornerback A.J. Jefferson. He was traded to the Vikings in 2012 to the Vikings for a pick that the Cardinals eventually used to acquire Carson Palmer.

Veteran corner Ralph Brown wore 20 from 2007-09.

For a lack of time, I'm just going to run down the names. None were great. Some were good. Most were just there.
