2014 NFL roster cuts: RB Zach Bauman cut by Arizona Cardinals

He is a practice squad candidate.

Another name is out among the Arizona Cardinals roster cuts. The roster must be trimmed to 53 players by 1 PM Arizona time. According to ESPN reporter Josh Weinfuss, the Cardinals have parted ways with undrafted rookie running back Zach Bauman.

The move settles the running back situation on the roster, provided the team does not add a player after roster cuts are done.

Bauman was undrafted out of Northern Arizona University and showed some promise in the preseason. He is a likely candidate for the 10-man practice squad that the Cardinals can start forming on Sunday.

The Cardinals have four running backs on the roster -- Andre Ellington, Jonathan Dwyer, Stepfan Taylor and Robert Hughes.

Damien Thigpen was cut when the team had to trim the roster to 75 players after the team's third preseason game. Jalen Parmele is reportedly among the cuts the team will be making today.

Do you hope Bauman is brought back? Or should he have made the roster over one of the guys that will be staying?
