NFL practice squads: Arizona Cardinals reportedly add TB cornerback Anthony Gaitor

He was not announced, but it is a report.

The Arizona Cardinals announced the signing of six players to the practice squad. There is another player reportedly being added and he is the first to come from another team.

According to Tampa Bay Times reporter Greg Auman, the Cardinals are adding cornerback Anthony Gaitor. Gaitor was waived on Saturday by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Gaitor was drafted by Tampa Bay in the seventh round in 2011 out of Florida International. He played a total 12 games in 2011 and 2012 and has been on the injured reserve twice. He was on IR with designation to return in 2012 and spent all of 2013 on IR as well.

He has had 12 total tackles and five passes defensed.

However, despite the report, there are some doubts. His NFL profile says that he is in his fourth season. In other words, he already has three credited years. If that is the case, he is not eligible for the practice squad, even under the new rules.
