Tuesday night came quickly for me after a very late Monday night of football in the Vallley of the Sun Rain. But, as we will all season, Seth and I got together for another show of Revenge of the Birds Radio.

In the latest episode, it was all about the season opener. We went over our gut feelings during the game for both the offense and defense and then compared those feelings with the actual numbers.

We discussed encouraging things we saw, like the run defense, the play of Michael Floyd, how active Larry Foote was and the steadiness of Carson Palmer.

We discussed concerns -- the lack of the pass rush, the return game (Ted Ginn looked an awful lot like Javier Arenas on kick returns, didn't he?), the miscommunication on offense.

We talk some about the role of Michael Floyd, Larry Fitzgerald and Andre Ellington on the offense, as well as the guys that were inactive.

It all culminated to the end, when we declared after one week that the Cardinals looked like contenders in the NFC. Seth even said they looked like a very good team, one that we should expect to win games like the matchup this week against the New York Giants.
