NFL injury report, Week 2: Andre Ellington still out, Carson Palmer still limited

Only one change on the injury report on Thursday.

Thursday came and went and saw very little change on the injury front for the Arizona Cardinals.

Running back Andre Ellington was again a non-participant in practice, which could lead to speculation about his availability on Sunday for the game. Of course, he will probably participate Friday on a limited basis and be good to go for the game.

The same players who did not practice earlier in the week still did not practice. Linebacker Alex Okafor still has not returned to practice since suffering a thigh bruise and defensive end Frostee Rucker sat out with his calf injury. Bruce Arians has already said Rucker is doubtful to play.

There was only one change for the Cardinals on their injury report. Safety Rashad Johnson (ankle) was upgraded to full practice status after having been limited on Wednesday. Guard Paul Fanaika (knee), quarterback Carson Palmer (shoulder) and punter Dave Zastudil (groin) were all limited. Safety Tyrann Mathieu (knee) was a full participant, but he was all last week, too, and he still did not play.

On the Giants' side of things, things look pretty much the same. They had one player downgraded and one upgraded.

Linebacker Jon Beason (foot), who was limited in practice Wednesday, did not participate on Thursday. However, defensive tackle Cullin Jenkins (hip) went from not practicing Wednesday to being limited on Thursday.

Five other players sat out of practice once again -- receiver Odell Beckham (hamstring), tackle James Brewer (back), linebacker Devon Kennard (hamstring), defensive tackle Markus Kuhn (ankle) and punter Steve Weatherford (ankle).

Tackle John Brown is the only other player on the list. He was limited with a shoulder injury.
