NFL injury report Week 3, Cardinals vs. 49ers: Punter Dave Zastudil sits out practice, Ellington and Palmer limited

Another look at the injury report for both teams.

Kevin Jairaj-USA TODAY Sports

The Arizona Cardinals and San Francisco 49ers released their injury reports Thursday and, for the Cardinals, the list was pretty familiar. There were a couple of changes. Tight end Rob Housler was added to the list and did not participate with a hip injury. Punter Dave Zastudil went from limited in practice on Wednesday to not participating on Thursday. Did he suffer a setback with his groin? Nothing was reported.

Housler and Zastudil are not the only ones to not participate for the Cardinals. John Abraham (concussion), Alex Okafor (thigh) and Frostee Rucker (calf) also did not practice, as has been the case all week.

Andre Ellington was back on the practice field and was limited. Carson Palmer was limited again. Larry Foote was also limited.

Both Kevin Minter and Lyle Sendlein were full participants, but included on the injury report.

For San Francisco, their players were either out or full participants. The player Cardinals fans are mostly likely paying  attention in terms of injury status is tight end Vernon Davis. He did not practice. Quarterback Colin Kaepernick also appeared on the list with a back injury, but was a full participant.

Here is the list for the Niners:

Did not participate: CB Tramaine Brock (toe), OT Anthony Davis (hamstring), TE Vernon Davis (ankle, knee), C Marcus Martin (knee), TE Vance McDonald (knee),

Full participation: RB Carlos Hyde (calf), QB Colin Kaepernick (back), DE Justin Smith (not injury related), OT Joe Staley (knee)
