Revenge of the Birds Radio just had its 50th show!
Fooch gave us a rundown of the offseason gains and losses San Francisco had.
He tells us about the injury situation and also a bit about the offseason "fun" with Aldon Smith and Ray McDonald and the reasoning behind why McDonald is still active and playing.
We talk matchups -- the ones most favorable for the Niners and the ones least favorable. Fooch brings up the matchup between Michael Crabtree and Patrick Peterson, citing how Crabtree is healthy now and wonders how the Cardinals will handle him, Anquan Boldin and Stevie Johnson, even with Antonio Cromartie added to the secondary.
The key will be the San Francisco running game the Niners still pride themselves in being a very physical team whose running game will wear down opposing teams. I recall how that is exactly what happened in Week 7 last season.
When it came to predictions, Fooch predicted a Niners win, but he was not comfortable enough to say that they would cover the 3-point advantage Vegas is giving them right now.
