Antonio Cromartie day-to-day with knee injury, other injury updates

The bye comes at a good time for Arizona.

Arizona Cardinals cornerback Antonio Cromartie left the game on Sunday against the San Francisco 49ers with a knee injury. Head coach Bruce Arians said postgame that the knee was one that had been surgically repaired and the team would know more on Monday.

Monday came and there was good news. Cromartie's injury is a bone bruise, leaving him day-to-day for practice this week. Cromartie himself already tweeted he would be ready to play the Broncos in Week 5.

Rookie safety Deone Bucannon also got hurt during the game on Sunday, spraining his foot. Arians believes he will be fine by the middle of next week.

Quarterback Carson Palmer hopefully can begin throwing as early as this week.

Tight end Rob Housler, inactive Sunday with a hip injury, should be good to go next week.

Arians wanted to have some padded practices this week, but with players banged up, they will not.
