The Arizona Cardinals are on their bye week and there is no injury report they have to release, but we have a a little information.
Quarterback Carson Palmer threw some more in practice and, according to AZCentral.com, Palmer said he can't yet throw the ball with quite the velocity he would like. "Not yet, but I'll get there shortly," he said.
He feels he will be able to play next weekend against the Broncos.
There were a couple of other things to note with injuries.
Linebacker Alex Okafor, who had not yet practiced all season and has been inactive for the first three games of the season because of a thigh injury, is getting better. According to Mike Jurecki, he appeared set to join the team in practice. Bruce Arians raved about his ability to get to the quarterback in offseason workouts. The defense could use a healthy Okafor as another option at outside linebacker.
Safety Rashad Johnson, according to the same AZCentral report as previously mentioned, has a broken thumb. he suffered the injury against the 49ers. He was wearing a cast on Wednesday and will get a smaller one later on next week.
The Cardinals will not practice again until next week. They are off with the bye and cannot practice now according to NFL rules.
