Thursday Night Football tonight is a classic in terms of history. You get an old NFC East battle between the New York Giants and Washington Redskins (we're not afraid of saying the name here) in the nation's capitol.

Both teams are 1-2 to start the year. New York is coming off its first win of the year, bouncing back from a pair of losses to throttle the Houston Texans. Washington went toe-to-toe with the Philadelphia Eagles, but ended up on the losing side last weekend.

Who do you like in this game? Do you go with Eli Manning or the Washington backup Kirk Cousins?

Here are our staff picks for the game:

WAS WAS NYG WAS WAS NYG WAS WAS NYG

As for an ATS pick, Washington, as the home team, is favored at -4. Home teams have a huge advantage in Thursday night games. The numbers show Washington to be the superior team statistically on offense and defense. New York has only covered two of their last seven games against the 'Skins, while Washington is 5-2 ATS both at home and against the NFC East. I like the home team here. Pick: Washington -4.
