Over the past couple seasons, I have tried my hand at handicapping all the games each week. I have done fairly well. I finished picking a little under 60 percent of all games correctly against the spread and over 67 percent of games straight up.
We'll see how it goes again this year.
Note: While I give betting advice, I myself do not bet. Use my advice at your own risk.
The season opener on Thursday Night Football is the Packers at the Seahawks as the Super Bowl champs begin their title defense.
The line opened at 3.5 points, but it has since moved to as much as six in favor of the champs.
Seattle lost some depth on defense and Aaron Rodgers returns with his offensive weapons, but the defense took a hit with B.J. Raji being lost for the season.
In terms of trends, according to Oddsshark, the money is dead even on both sides. Bettors are hammering the over, though, at 47.5.
Who do I like?
Super Bowl champs are 18-2 straight up in their home opener. Seattle is 8-2 ATS in their last 10 games, while Green Bay is 2-7-1.
It's the sexy pick, but you have to go with the champs.
Pick: Seattle, -6
