The Arizona Cardinals released their first injury report of the week and running back Andre Ellington appears on it. What is worse, there is some concern about him as he has a foot injury of some sort.
Ellington was limited in practice with a foot injury. Not much else is known exactly, but there is some speculation. ESPN's Chris Mortenson reportedly said on TV it was related to his shoes. I didn't hear it myself, though.
Mike Jurecki tweeted on Thursday that Ellington's foot had been bothering him for a week and that in practice he tweaked it. He reportedly had an MRI later in the day.
The only player for the Cardinals who did not practice was linebacker Alex Okafor, who has a thigh injury.
Ellington was the only player limited in practice.
Also listed on the injury report as practicing fully were guard Jonathan Cooper (toe), receiver Larry Fitzgerald (knee), safety Tyrann Mathieu (knee), linebacker Kevin Minter (chest) and defensive end Frostee Rucker (bacK).
Notably absent on the injury report is nose tackle Alameda Ta'amu, who had ACL surgery in December. Apparently, his knee is fine.
For the Chargers, safety Jahleel Addae (hamstring), cornerback Chris Davis (ankle) and center Nick Hardwiick (no injury) missed practice. Defensive end Lawrence Guy (shoulder), defensive tackle Sean Lissemore (ankle) and linebacker Manti Te'o (foot) were limited.
Receiver Keenan Allen (ribs) and rookie CB Jason Verrett (shoulder) practiced fully.
