Arizona Cardinals release LB Desmond Bishop, P Dave Zastudil hurt groin

There will be a roster move coming.

The Arizona Cardinals announced a roster move on Saturday that was not expected. They released veteran linebacker Desmond Bishop, but did not announce any other moves.

It turns out that punter Dave Zastudil suffered a groin injury that got him added to the injury report as questionable for Monday. Speculation is that the Cards will likely sign a punter just in case Zastudil can't go or goes and has to come out of the game.

Of course, it also could be to bring up a guy from the practice squad -- like running back Dominique Williams -- to mitigate the possible absence of Andre Ellington.

Zastudil's injury could be big. He is a Pro Bowl-caliber punter. He is also the holder for kicks. There is the possibility that Zastudil could handle holding, but the team could use another punter to actually handle punting duties.

With the roster at 52 players, we know one thing is certain -- the team will announce another move in the next couple of days.
