Antonio Cromartie headed to the Pro Bowl

The cornerback announced it himself.

Ed Szczepanski-USA TODAY Sports

The Arizona Cardinals had three players headed to the Pro Bowl in Calais Campbell, Justin Bethel and Patrick Peterson. Now Arizona will add a fourth player.

Cornerback Antonio Cromartie announced via his own Instragram account that he is also joining his three teammates. Cromartie was an alternate for the game.

Cromartie, who signed with the Cardinals on a one-year deal, He was second on the team with three interceptions on the season and also had 51 tackles. He was the Cardinals' most consistent cornerback in coverage all season, having two hiccups over the course of the year -- one against the Broncos and the other against the Falcons. He also had an interception in the Cardinals' playoff loss to the Panthers.

Pro Football Focus credits him with allowing only a passer rating of 74.9 when quarterbacks threw his way.

He now will perhaps enter free agency after having made the Pro Bowl for the fourth time in his career.

Arizona now has three corners in the Pro Bowl. Sure, one is for special teams play, but how many other teams can say that?
