Todd Bowles' interview with Falcons rescheduled, now talks to Bears on Thursday

The schedule changes with the passing of Arthur Blank's mother.

Arizona Cardinals defensive coordinator Todd Bowles saw his coaching interview schedule change for the week. He was to interview with the New York Jets on Wednesday, then with the Atlanta Falcons Thursday, the San Francisco 49ers Friday and the Chicago Bears Saturday.

The schedule changed and his interview with the Bears was moved up to Thursday.

The Falcons put their head coaching interviews on hold with the passing of owner Arthur Blank's mother. Funeral serviced for her are on Thursday, so obviously the interview with Bowles couldn't happen.

The interview with Atlanta will now happen on Saturday for Bowles.

The interesting thing with the change in date for the Bears is the fact the team wanted to have a GM hired before the new head coach. It is not known if this bumping up of the interview means the team has accelerated its timetable for a new GM. The Bears held two GM interviews on Wednesday -- one with Chris Ballard, now the director of player personnel for the Chiefs, and Ryan Pace, who holds the same title as Ballard with the Saints.
