Ravens-Steelers Thursday Night Football, picks and predictions, live updates

Talk about one of the biggest rivalries in sports.

Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

Tonight is a big matchup on Thursday Night Football. Unfortunately, the game between the Baltimore Ravens and the Pittsburgh Steelers will be missing two of the biggest names in a very big rivalry.

Perhaps there is not another rivalry in the NFL with such bad blood between fanbases. For years, both teams have been successful. Both play each other well and they are fierce games. But the Ravens will be without their stud pass rushed in Terrell Suggs, who is out for the season, while the Steelers will not have starting quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, who injured his knee last week in the team's 12-6 victory over the St. Louis Rams.

Without Big Ben, the ROTB staff is not confident in the Steelers, even at home. Even Vegas has the Ravens as 2.5- point favorites. I will take the Ravens, as I just don't like Michael Vick as a starter anymore. He is a turnover machine.

Here are the writing staff picks for the game:

Jess Root: Ravens
Tyler Derby: Ravens
Michael Ferguson: Ravens
Seth Cox: Ravens
Jesse Reynolds: Ravens
Robert Norman: Ravens
Delilah Cassidy: Ravens
Randy Fields: Ravens
Kent Hodder: Steelers
Alex Mann: Steelers
Skii: Ravens
Steven Rodriquez: Ravens
BigRedBilly: Ravens
Shaun Church: Ravens

Use this posts as your open thread for the game. Comment away. In terms of rooting for a team, neither one winning or losing helps the Cardinals. The Cardinals play both teams this month, so it is worth watching.
