The inactive lists are out for both the Arizona Cardinals and Pittsburgh Steelers. There are no real surprises for either team for the game. The usual suspects for the Cardinals are inactive, with a pair of exceptions. Ted Larsen, who was a healthy scratch last week, is active this week, while Earl Watford sits. Receiver J.J. Nelson, who was the team's punt returner and fourth receiver for the first two games, still remains inactive, even though it appears he is healthy.
Here are the Cardinals inactives:
- QB Matt Barkley
- G Earl Watford
- WR J.J. Nelson
- OLB Alex Okafor
- OLB Shaq Riddick
- T D.J. Humphries
- NT Xavier Williams
The decision to keep Larsen active must be insurance for Mike Iupati, as he had his back flare up this week and missed practice on Thursday. Larsen started at left guard while Iupati was out with a knee injury for the first three games of the season.
Nelson being inactive means we will see Patrick Peterson returning punts again.
As was expected, LaMarr Woodley, who was a game-time decision to play, is active and will start. Markus Golden starts in place of Alex Okafor and Dwight Freeney will back up Woodley, which was the role Golden had previous to Okafor's injury.
Here are the Steelers' inactives:
- S Will Allen
- CB Cortez Allen
- G Chris Hubbard
- TE Jesse James
- OLB Jarvis Jones
- ILB Ryan Shazier
- QB Ben Roethlisberger
This means they are missing their starting quarterback and four defensive starters.
