Pro Football Focus is widely known for their player grades, ratings and signature stats. Each week they highlight the best and the worst of each team in a press release. What did they have to say about the Arizona Cardinals?
The offensive line graded poorly. In fact, the only positive grade was newly returned Mike Iupati. He got a +1.5 grade for the grade and only allowed one pressure on Carson Palmer.
Both Bobby Massie and Jonathan Cooper allowed four pressures, with Cooper allowing one of the sacks. Massie was the best of the negatives, earning a -0.2 for the game, mostly because he graded out highly in run blocking.
Palmer played well overall. Yes, he misfired on the two most important passes of the game, but despite being pressured on 19 of 51 dropbacks, he earned a +2.7 grade.
Defensively, we know Calais Campbell dominated statistically. He graded highly -- a +5.8 for the game.
Frostee Rucker and Alex Okafor did not do so well. Okafor was a -2.7 and Rucker a -2.2 for the game, both because of their run defense.
Deone Bucannon earned a +1.3 grade overall and in coverage, and five of his eight tackles were considered "stops."
Patrick Peterson was only targeted twice for the game. He allowed one completion, but it was for minus one yard.
Overall this season, Peterson is doing very well. He is allowing a catch once only every almost 32 cover assignments.
