The Arizona Cardinals announced their inactives for the Week 8 matchup against the Cleveland Browns and it is official. Receiver John Brown is active and will play. He has been bothered by a hamstring and missed most of practice during the week, but is ready to play. Also active and set to play is cornerback Jerraud Powers, who suffered a hamstring injury last week. This is a surprise, as head coach Bruce Arians said the injury would keep him out 1-2 weeks. Powers did not practice all week.
It appears Justin Bethel will still get the start, but we will have to see.
The seven players who will not dress are the usual suspects:
QB Matt Barkley
TE Darren Fells (still injured)
OLB Alex Okafor (still injured)
T D.J. Humphries
G Earl Watford
OLB Shaq Riddick
NT Xavier Williams
Jermaine Gresham will start at tight end in place of the injured Fells, and Markus Golden will start in place of the injured Okafor.
The inactives for Cleveland include receiver Andrew Hawkins, who is out with a concussion, and former Cardinals TE Rob Housler.
Here are the inactives for the Browns:
TE E.J. Bibbs
QB Austin Davis
LB Jayson DIManche
WR Andrew Hawkins
TE Rob Housler
DB Don Jones
DB Jordan Poyer
