Carson Palmer fined for pelvic thrust, radio station raising money to cover cost

People are funny.

Arizona Cardinals quarterback Carson Palmer was one of two quarterbacks to get some fame on social media. Drew Stanton had a dance and Palmer had a crotch chop. But that gesture has cost him. As reported by multiple people in the local Phoenix media, Palmer was fined $11,576 for the move.

It was the first time in his career Palmer was fined.

Interestingly enough, that gesture, which was not directed at Seahawks fans, but at a trio of his friends in the stands. It also is a greater fine than the one Steelers linebacker Arthur Moats received for nearly taking off Johnny Manziel's head. Player safety matters, right?

Perhaps sensing the injustice of such a fine on Palmer, there is a way for fans to help out. Local radio station Arizona Sports 98.7 FM set up a GoFundMe page to allow fans to help cover the cost of Palmer's fine. It is called the Carson Palmer Thrust Fund. Clever, right? As of when this article was published, over $1800 has been raised.

Did you forget the move? Here it is one more time:
